What things are fun about me?

I really love to cook. I live in the deep South (Hi! ya’ll) so my cooking reflects the area in which I live. I really enjoy cooking for other people; it is very satisfying to me.

I love cats. When we lived in the country we had a lot of them, most were feral. But, I knew all their personalities and liked having them around (they also kept snakes away and I had small-ish children at the time) I do have 2 cats now, Mystery who is 10 yrs. old and Jasmine who is 5 yrs. old (she is also a polydactyl kitty)

I like documentaries about true crime. I use to read a lot of true crime books, but lately I’ve just been researching on the internet and watching documentaries on Netflix.

Oh and I also love dragonflies!

What are my hopes for the future of the Autistic Community?

It is my hope that one day that Autistic people will have the leading voice in autism advocacy, not just a seat at the advocacy table.

I hope for authentic inclusion in the community and unconditional acceptance of Autistic people.

I hope that we are able to help people understand that disability isn’t shameful, and in fact it’s natural. I know we’ve already reached many, but there are many many more to reach.
